The Burdekin Aero Club is located at the Ayr Aerodrome (YAYR), which is close to Ayr and Brandon, and about 80kms south of Townsville (YBTL).
It is a growing, friendly aero club, comprised of many people local to the Burdekin District, and the City of Townsville. Members of the Aero Club are aviation enthusiasts.
A staple of this vibrant club is its famous monthly sausage sizzle held every second Sunday of the month. Aviators fly in from far and wide, including Mackay and Cairns regions.
If you are interested and enthused about all things aviation, attending one of these open BBQ Breakfast Events is a great way to talk to other pilots and enthusiasts!

The Burdekin Aero Club owns and operates a Grumman Tiger AA5B aircraft, which is available to aero club members meeting flight and medical
requirements.
RTY (VH-RTY) is available for $250/hr (wet) based on air switch time.

- Autopilot
- SkyEcho ADSB
- Headsets
